Community Guidelines
Keep the map real, the catalogue useful, and the people behind it safe.
Be useful
Submit the exact product you saw, the correct store, and only a price you can support. “I saw it there but forgot the price” is valid and better than guessing.
Protect people
Use a nickname if you prefer. Do not post private addresses as stores, expose another person’s identity, photograph people unnecessarily, or include payment details, licence plates, receipts with personal information, or private conversations.
Keep evidence honest
Photos may be rotated, cropped, and used to read packaging, but must not be manipulated to misrepresent a product, price, date, or shop. Clearly distinguish remembered information from a fresh shelf sighting.
No farming or sabotage
Do not create duplicates, delete and re-add records, coordinate fake verification, invent stores, manipulate prices, or use multiple accounts to collect points. Duplicate checks include active, inactive, and deleted records.
Respect moderation
Staff decisions are logged. Ask for a review when something looks wrong; do not harass contributors or moderators. Only the Owner controls the authority of other admins, and staff must not use access for personal disputes.
Report safely
Use Bug reports for broken behaviour and community reporting for harmful content. Closed-beta safety or security concerns can also be sent to kontakt@varevenn.no. A tested urgent escalation procedure must be completed before public launch.
